Our Story
First Fruits Sustainable Farms located in the small rural community of Fallon, Nevada was started in 2016 by Tim, Jamie and Marshall Coverston. We desired to provide our family and others with food that would not only fill our bellies but provide the nutrients that our bodies needed that conventionally grown food lacked. Our Family has lived in Fallon for several generations, but farming and ranching was not the livelihood of our families. We gained our knowledge on regenerative farming practices through many great book and a lot of Youtube videos. We have honed in the skills required to succeed through many years of trial and error. If Farming has taught us anything it's that God and time are the best teachers. First Fruits started out as a dream for healthier food and a few acres of leased dirt. We worked 2 seasons on that leased piece of ground before we found our 50 acre farm in 2017. Since then we have been able to expand our apiary, increase our vegetable production, and raise beef, pork, turkey and Chickens for meat and eggs on our pastures. We rotate our produce and animals through our pastures to heal and nourish our soil biome. Thanks to the tremendous help from our family we are able to bring our thoughtfully grown products to families beyond the boarders of our small town.
